High Point Preparatory Academy is currently operated under the requirements of the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. Pastor Gary Simons, the founder of High Point Church, oversees the spiritual basis and Biblical foundation of HPPA.
High Point Prep holds membership in the following academic organizations: Oral Roberts University Educational Fellowship (ORUEF,) International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA,) Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS,) and Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI.)
The governing board of High Point Preparatory considers accreditation to be an important foundational process for any Christian school; confirmation by educational agencies and organizations that the school, as a whole, has set a high standard for excellence. HPPA is committed to being academically and spiritually excellent. God does not expect us to sacrifice one for the other. God’s vision for HPPA is to commission Christ-like leaders to serve present and future generations. This vision mandates a high standard of excellence, a college-preparatory curriculum, and molding of Biblical lifestyles.
 High Point Preparatory Academy is a provisionally accredited elementary and secondary school (grades one – twelve) by the International Christian Accrediting Association. HPPA is also in the process of accreditation with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Both carry the approval of the state of Texas through the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission. At HPPA, accreditation is achieved within the scope of ecumenical principles; there is no compromise. |
