Beth Featherston, Principal
Miss Featherston is passionate about the calling God has placed on her life to encourage and challenge young people to be all God has called them to be. Beth brings 22 years of service in the education field to High Point Prep. She taught in the public school arena for 16 years before being commissioned as one of the charter teachers for HPPA in 2002. After teaching at High Point for two years, she was appointed to Principal, and continues to serve in that capacity.
Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from University of Louisiana in Monroe, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Dallas Baptist University. She holds lifetime teaching credentials in both Louisiana and Texas, and has received numerous recognitions, including Teacher of the Year, Lifetime Texas PTA Member, and Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Beth also has earned the ranking of first degree black belt in tae kwon do.
She has served both public school districts as well as private school associations as guest speaker for workshops on various educational topics.
Beth has been a member of High Point Church for 8 years. She serves as a Prayer Partner, Touch Point Leader, and an M-Power University instructor. She enjoys spending time with her family and her doggy, Queen Esther, as well as reading and decorating.
Glinder Alexander, Assistant Principal Elementary School

Glinder is a native of Dallas and has lived in Texas all of her life. She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Dallas Baptist University.
Glinder has always had a passion for the things of God and has always been a teacher at heart. As she made her mark in the corporate world, the Lord began to stir change in her spirit. Her plans were to study for the LSAT and gain acceptance into Texas Wesleyan’s Law School, but God had different plans for her. God had placed the desire to teach in her heart, and in obedience, she answered His call. Glinder joined the High Point Preparatory Academy family in August of 2007.
Glinder and her husband Eugene have been members of High Point Church for 6 years where Glinder serves as a First Time Guest greeter and a Prayer Partner. They reside in Arlington and are the proud parents of three wonderful children Andrew, India, and Gené.
Denise Lauer Jaramillo, Assistant Principal Secondary School
Denise is a transplant to Texas, being born and raised in Pennsylvania. Following graduation from William Penn Senior High School and the William Penn School for the Performing Arts, she went on to study secondary music education at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA, and voice performance (opera) at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. While in Philadelphia, Denise performed as an ensemble member appearing with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Luciano Pavarotti, and a vocalist with the Pennsylvania Ballet. She has an extensive musical theatre repertoire of lead roles and a long list of professional artists with which she has performed.
Following college, Denise served as a Non-commissioned Officer in the United States Army during Operation Desert Shield/Storm and the succeeding 8 years. During peace time, Denise served as a Training NCO in both her military occupational specialty and Army Physical Fitness. She was a teacher in various capacities on military bases throughout her duty stations. She earned a “Troops to Teachers” certification and degree completion while stationed at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base here in Fort Worth. While in the country’s service, Denise earned and received several highly coveted and distinguished honors and medals.
Not forsaking her musical roots, Denise went on to study worship arts through the Worship Arts Conservatory, Lake Stevens, WA, and Calvary Cathedral International Bible School, Fort Worth, TX. Denise served as Worship Arts Pastor at Daybreak Fellowship Church, Euless, TX prior to joining the High Point Preparatory Academy family in August 2004.
Denise and her husband Rene, also a musician and ordained minister, are members of High Point Church. They have served in the Worship Department, as Touch Point Leaders, and count it an honor and privilege to partner with the HPC vision to “Pastor the Metroplex and Evangelize the World”. They live in Fort Worth and are crazy for anything music and worship related…garnishing a major CD collection, and an eclectic assortment of world instruments.
