Located in the hub of the Metroplex, on High Point Church's beautiful 107-acre campus, High Point Preparatory Academy is a school dedicated to helping students reach the leadership potential God has placed in each of them.
Every program and activity implemented at HPPA is considered with the school's vision in mind - to commission Christ-like leaders to serve present and future generations. Administrators, faculty, and staff are constantly monitoring their respective departments to insure that all aspects of an education at High Point Prep reflect the mission statement - to lead by example and partner with Christian families to develop servant leaders who recognize their value in Christ. We are dedicated to educating the whole child - spirit, mind and body - by providing a Christ-centered, Biblically-based education that promotes and instills excellence in academics and character through the knowledge and application of God's Word.
High Point Prep began with students in grades pre-kindergarten through sixth in 2002 under the visionary leadership of Pastor Gary and April Simons, founders of High Point Church in Arlington. Recognizing the potential for honing leadership skills at the earliest age, High Point Church opened the Early Learning Center Preschool in 2004 for young children from infancy to four years of age. With the addition of a secondary grade level each school year, HPPA has grown exponentially and began the 2007 fall semester with the addition of tenth grade. High Point Preparatory Academy will commission its first class of graduating seniors in 2010.
Students at High Point Prep are immersed in a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum that exceeds the Texas State Graduation Requirements for the Distinguished Achievement Plan by six credits, thus preparing students for entry into the college or university of their choice.
HPPA is currently pursuing accreditation with Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA), and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Projected time for completing requirements for all three accreditations is Fall 2009.
